As your elected student representatives, you can talk to your Exec about any issues or ideas which you have, you can ask them to work on something for you, or just find out about what they are up to.

What is the Executive Committee?
Each year, the student body of MIC vote for the different officerships available in MISU to be their Student Officers for the next academic year who will lead them, represent them, and advocate for them.
There are three full-time officer positions and seven part-time officer positions which students can nominate themselves for along with one additional ex-officio officership. These 11 officers make up the the MISU Executive Committee or The Exec, for short.
The Full-Time Officerships
The full-time officer positions are year-long salaried job opportunities that are held by students who have either completed their studies and will be graduating, or by students who have chosen to take a sabbatical year from their studies. The positions are:

The part-time officer positions can be held by students in conjunction with completing their studies so they do not need to choose one or the other. The positions are:
What does the Executive Committee do?
- The Exec meet on a weekly basis throughout the year and are responsible for implementing Union Policy, subject to Union Council, General Meetings and Referenda.
- They follow up on items which have been raised by the Class Reps at Union Council or discuss items which need to be brought to the next meeting of Union Council for views or approval.
- They also report to and keep Union Council updated on any campaigns they are or intend to work on with each Part-Time Officer expected to undertake one activity per semester.

- Jayde is the chief spokesperson of MISU.
- She oversees the Student Representation & Supports function.
- Jayde plays a leading role in maintaining and developing the student experience and represents the student body on a wide range of boards and committees, including an tÚdarás Rialaithe (Governing Authority) and An Chomhairle Acadúil (Academic Council) as well as Faculty and Course Boards.
- Jayde also chairs the MISU Executive Committee and works closely with the MISU Vice-President's and the rest of the Executive Committee to deliver on MISU’s aims & objectives.

- Nat is the first point of contact for students seeking support in the area of student experience and wellbeing.
- Nat is responsible for advocating for the wellbeing of students and supporting them with issues including general welfare, finance, accommodation, mental and sexual wellbeing.
- Nat represents the student body on a range of college committees, including the Access Committee, Student Wellbeing Committee and Health & Safety Committee.
- Nat works closely with the MISU President, MISU Vice-President Academic and the rest of the Executive Committee to deliver on MISU’s aims & objectives.
- Nat is based between the Limerick and Thurles campuses during the semester and shall alternate their attendance on each campus with the Vice-President Academic.

- Chloe is MISU’s representative on the MIC Thurles Campus and is the first point of contact for any Thurles students who require support, advice, or are wanting to provide feedback or suggestions of any kind.
- Chloe supports the Full-Time Officers in providing MISU Student Representation & Supports services to all students on the MIC Thurles Campus.
- Chloe supports with the election of Class Representatives on the Thurles campus and presents the needs of the Thurles students to the President, Executive Committee and Union Council.
- Chloe is available to meet with Thurles Campus students on a weekly basis during the Academic Year and her office hours are:
- Monday - 2pm to 4pm
- Tuesday- 12pm to 1pm
- Wednesday- 12pm to 3pm
- Thursday - 4pm to 5pm
- Friday - 2pm to 3pm

- Áine supports the Vice-President Student Experience & Wellbeing in advocating for and representing the interests of students on the Limerick & Thurles campuses in all matters relating to their welfare.
- Áine is focused on the general issues of accommodation, safety, and overall wellbeing for students and along with the Full-Time Officers , organises campaigns as and when appropriate.
- Áine fosters a supportive and caring environment for the student body.
- Aine assists in preparing the welfare sections of MISU publications and communications, ensuring that students are well-informed about relevant welfare matters.

Oifigeach Gaeilge (Irish Language Officer)

- Spreagfaidh agus tacóidh an tOifigeach Gaeilge le teanga na Gaeilge a úsáid i measc oifigigh an Aontais. (The Irish Language Officer shall support, encourage and promote the use of the Irish language amongst the Full-Time Officers).
- Beidh an tOifigeach Gaeilge mar ionadaí ar son leas na mac léinn a labhraíonn an Ghaeilge ar Choiste Gnó an Aontais agus ar Chomhairle an Aontais. (The Irish Language Officer shall represent the interests of Irish language speaking students to the Executive Committee and to Union Council).
- Déanfaidh an tOifigeach Gaeilge comhoibriú leis an gCumann Gaelach chun an teanga na Gaeilge a chur chun cinn ar champas. (The Irish Language Officer shall work alongside An Cumann Gaelach to promote the Irish language on campus).
- Cuideoidh an tOifigeach Gaeilge le haistriúcháin doiciméid an Aontais. (The Irish Language Officer shall aid in the translation of Union documents).
- Tacóidh an tOifigeach Gaeilge leis an Leas-Uachtarán d’Eispéaras na Mac Léinn agus Folláine le feachtais a rachaidh i bhfeidhm ar eispéaras na mac léinn a labhraíonn an Ghaeilge ar champas Luimnigh agus ar champas Dhurlas. (The Irish Language Officer shall support the Vice-President Student Experience & Wellbeing in campaigning on issues that impact upon the student experience of Irish language speaking students on the Limerick & Thurles campuses).
- Oibreoidh an tOifigeach Gaeilge le hoifigigh eile chun cinntiú go mbíonn litearthacht dátheangach ag feachtai an aontais, chomh fada is gur féidir. (The Irish Language Officer shall work with other elected officers to ensure that where possible campaigns have bilingual literature).

Caoimhe Moore

- Caoimhe supports the Vice-President Student Experience & Wellbeing in the provision of a diverse programme of on campus activities for students on the Thurles campus.
- Caoimhe acts as a first point of contact for students who are interested in and part of Clubs & Societies on the Thurles campus.
- Caoimhe sits on the Board of Irish College Societies as a student representative and alternates chairing of the Clubs & Societies Council with the Student Activities Officer (Limerick Campus).
