Rover Society is like a Scout Troop in a college! We do outdoor and indoor activities relating to Scouting. Mary I's Rovers Society is here to offer a unique Scouting experience for students. The aim is to follow Scouting Ireland's aim and ethos so that students will develop spiritually, physically, intellectually, culturally and emotionally. We offer all aspects of the outdoors including hiking, water sports, camping, trips abroad, pioneering, improving emergency skills, and much more when some societies. We provide the opportunity for people who are non members of Scouting Ireland to be part of a national, international and worldwide community without actually joining Scouting Ireland outside of college, allowing them to experience the World of Scouting.

General Information:

Societies membership costs €5 for the academic year. This fee includes your membership fee and the cost of your insurance coverage.

If you are interested in joing multiple Clubs and Societies please purchase ONE membership and then contact Dave or Alfie below. We will issue you with a code to join subsequent Clubs/Socs free of charge. You will only have to pay 1 membership per year for Clubs and 1 membership per year for Societies.

Society activity typically starts around Week 2/3 - keep an eye on the calendar, Instagram, and your emails for more information.
